Playoffs & Championships

Solos
The top 200 players from each league at the end of the Regular Season will qualify for the Playoffs, split into Heats and the Championship. Each league (Solos (West) and Solos (East)) will host its own Playoffs events.

Heats will consist of two (2) 100-player lobbies. Lobby 1 will consist of odd-seeded players, while Lobby 2 will consist of even-seeded players. Players will compete in 6 games in each lobby on a 35-minute scheduled cadence. The top 50 players from each lobby will advance to the Championship.

The Championship will consist of one (1) 100-player lobby. Players will compete in 6 games in each lobby on a 35-minute scheduled cadence.

Scoring format will remain the same as the Regular Season.

Trios
The top 66 trios from each league at the end of regular season will qualify for the Playoffs, split into Heats and the Championship. Each league will host its own Playoffs events.

Heats will consist of two (2) 33-team lobbies. Lobby 1 will consist of odd-seeded players, while Lobby 2 will consist of even-seeded players. Players will compete in 6 games in each lobby on a 35-minute scheduled cadence.

The top 16 teams from each lobby will advance to the Championship. Additionally, the 33rd team made eligible for the Championship will be the team with the highest total points in Heats (including tiebreakers) across both lobbies that were not in the top 16 of either group.

The Championship will consist of one (1) 33-team lobby. Players will compete in 6 games in each lobby on a 35-minute scheduled cadence.

Scoring format will remain the same as the Regular Season.

FAQ

How do I earn PR for competing in PlayVS College?

Short answer, our regular season does not count toward or against your PR (or "Power Ranking" in Fortnite Tracker).

Long answer, some of our league events have counted for PR in the past. PR configuration is outside the control of PlayVS College; if you have any feedback about PR for PlayVS College Fortnite events, please reach out to the Fortnite Tracker team.

How do I know which region my school belongs to?

Consult the region maps guide. Schools are assigned to a region; players may not select the region in which they compete.

What if I'm not a high-level Fortnite player? Is this league still for me?

Absolutely! Our player skill ranges very across the board. We have new players as well as some semi-professional competitors. Our team works hard to ensure everyone can have a great match day experience and be a part of the PlayVS College community, no matter their skill level.

If you're ever concerned about skill differentials or want to meet up with other PlayVS College Fortnite players, say hi in our Discord server! Just connect your Discord account to PlayVS to join.

Can I compete with players from other schools in my Trio?

Our collegiate leagues are presently built to support teams comprised of students from the same college or university. We are exploring other solutions that would open up team composition outside of a single school, but for now you may only compete with other members of your school.

What is the best way to get updates about the league?

Join our Discord server! Not only do we have a vibrant community of PlayVS players, we also offer the latest updates and opportunities to connect with other collegiate esports athletes. On top of that, we offer game nights (beyond league play), career development, and much more. Come through sometime!

Who do I contact if I have any more questions?

Reach out to the community in Discord or hit us up! You can contact our team through the in-platform chat (just click the Firebob in the bottom-right corner) or visit our Help Center. We're here to help with anything you need 👍🏾
