In 2023, PlayVS partnered with Stay Plugged In, the leading organization helping to navigate the process and match high school esports athletes with college programs. Stay Plugged In bridges the gap between high school esports athletes and recruiters looking to fill rosters for their programs. They provide opportunities for students to compete in front of a network of hundreds of college esports programs with the potential to earn scholarships.

The collegiate esports scene continues to explode year after year. While potential collegiate and scholarship opportunities for high school esports players have never been better, navigating the process can be a daunting task. This is where our partners at Stay Plugged In step in.

As a benefit of the partnership to our community, every active player who is enrolled in our Spring 2024 season or Upgrade Arena tournament will receive a free Stay Plugged In Platinum Membership.

The opportunities are everywhere, the proof is in the numbers.

For the graduating classes of 2021-2023, 100% of Stay Plugged In Platinum members received a scholarship offer, with the average member receiving 6-7 offers of $4,000-$5,000 each. These offers came from over 100 colleges and universities nationwide and averaged $32,000 in total offers per student. In total, over $24 million has been awarded in scholarships to SPIN members.

What is Stay Plugged In?

Stay Plugged In (SPIN) is the premier esports recruiting platform for college scholarships, presenting a network of hundreds of potential esports programs in colleges across the country.

Are there any requirements for a player to create a Stay Plugged In account?

When creating an account, players who are under 18 years of age will need to provide a parent or guardian email address. The parent or guardian will then receive an email to finish creating their own profile to be able to track the activity on their student’s accounts.

How does a school/player qualify for this benefit?

Schools that are enrolled in our Spring 2024 season or our Upgrade Arena tournament will have the benefit available for every participating player who is a part of their program

How do my players redeem this benefit?

Players must log in to their PlayVS account. They can find SPIN benefits on their Dashboard or they can select “Account Connections” to connect their SPIN account to their PlayVS profile.

If a player already has a SPIN account they will be asked to enter their SPIN login. If not, they can sign-up for a SPIN account from this page.

Once the player’s SPIN account is successfully connected, the benefits of the Platinum Plan will be made available to them from their SPIN account. From there, you’re all set to start enjoying your Platinum membership!

What does the Platinum Membership include?

With this Platinum membership, players will get direct, unlimited access to the top college esports recruiters, full access to platform features such as profile view notifications and an onboard messaging system. They also have access to one-on-one discussions with Recruiting Specialists who can help each student develop their esports recruiting plan.

How long does a player get to keep their Platinum membership?

Platinum memberships are valid for school programs enrolled in the Spring 2024 PlayVS high school season or enrolled in our Upgrade Arena tournament.

Platinum Plans will be valid for each player through December 31, 2024.

What game titles does SPIN help recruit for?

SPIN currently helps player recruits for many of the game titles that PlayVS offers, including Rocket League, Super Smash Bros. ™ Ultimate, League of Legends, Madden NFL, NBA 2K, Hearthstone, Overwatch 2 and VALORANT.
