Fall Flash Overview (Schedule, Rules, Prizing)

Fall Flash is a pop-up tournament on August 19th to celebrate our early enrolled collegiate players before the Fall ‘21 season. Close out the summer with a bang and compete for cash prizes in this one-day Fortnite Solos event!

All collegiate players enrolled in the Fall ‘21 season before August 17th, 11:59 pm PDT are eligible to compete in the tournament, regardless of what title you will play during the season.

8/18 IMPORTANT CHANGES TO RULES:

To allow players to have the best opportunity to earn points, we changed the rulebook for scoring to be based on a player’s best 6 games (the 6 games with the highest scores). Players will be able to play as many games as they can within the 3.5 hour duration of the Fall Flash event.

The Yunite Leaderboard will be used to determine placement. There will be separate Yunite Leaderboards for NA East and NA West. The Yunite Leaderboard will accurately list all players by placement and total number of points earned during players’ best 6 games. However, Yunite will also show stats on total games played, wins, and eliminations, which may not directly match to the total number of points for a player if a player plays more than 6 games.

Fall Flash will be hosted using Yunite on a Fortnite Custom Lobby. Players will need to be at least Level 15 in order to join the Arena match. Fall Flash is limited to PC players only to maintain competitive integrity.

Important Rules/Notes

Fall Flash will be coordinated via the PlayVS Discord through Yunite, which is a different method than our typical in-season matches. The game invitations will not be sent through the in-game Compete Tab. To ensure you are properly registered and ready to compete, follow the Pre-Match Protocol.

Post-match, players are required to upload game replays to Yunite to ensure their points are counted. See here for instructions. Otherwise, players can install the local Yunite client to their PC for automatic scoring through the client. Instructions can be found here. Full instructions on uploading replayes can be found in the Match Day Protocol.

Players can only participate through PC. Players will not be able to use consoles or mobile for this event, unlike during the regular season.

Players will be ineligible to win if they change their Epic user name at any point during the event.
