Important Notes

  • Some State Leagues follow different schedules & deadlines. Please check back for changes as new information will be added throughout the Fall ‘23 Season.

  • State Leagues - Please scroll down to your specific state schedule to find all important dates for your state leagues.

  • Season timelines may change for certain esport titles based on any game launches or patch updates.

  • Enrollment opens: 4/10/23

  • Registration deadline for most leagues: 9/22/23 (at 11:59 PM league time)

  • Preseason: Weeks of 9/11/23 & 9/18/23

  • Regular Season: 9/25/23 - 11/17/23

  • Playoffs: 11/27/23 - 12/8/23

  • Fall Championships: Week of 12/11/23

Weekly Schedule

  • Mondays: All titles!

    • Practice days are optional during the regular season on Mondays from 4-7 PM local time.

    • Coaches and players will receive in-app notifications and coaches will be able to join the practice queue.

    • This is not required and does not affect team rank.

  • Tuesdays: League of Legends, Splatoon™ 3

  • Wednesdays: Super Smash Bros.™ Ultimate, Overwatch, NBA 2K

  • Thursdays: Rocket League, Madden, Mario Kart™ 8 Deluxe, Hearthstone

Match Time

4:00 pm local time. Times may differ between different leagues. Please confirm your school's match time if your state/regional league has multiple time zones.

Exceptions: Please check back for updated exceptions for match times.

  • CIAC - 3:30 PM

  • MSAA - 3:30 PM

  • Texas Region - 4:30 PM

  • California Region - 4:30 PM

  • TAPPS - 4:30 PM

  • TCSAAL - 4:30 PM

  • KHSAA - 4:00 PM CST / 5:00 PM EST

Important: Any team that forfeits more than 2 regular season matches will not be eligible for playoffs.

Fall '23 Schedule

All Schools will play a total of 7 matches over 8 weeks. Schools will select 1 week as part of their Break Week Inclusion. There will be no matches scheduled for the school’s selected break week across all enrolled esport titles.

Playoffs

  • Any team that forfeits more than 2 regular season matches will not be eligible for playoffs.

  • Playoff Start dates & times may vary per league based on factors like bracket size, state league accommodations, broadcast accommodations, or game launch accommodations.

  • More specific playoff information will be found in PlayVS on your schedule page towards the middle of the Regular Season as everything begins to be finalized.

  • Due to the length of period for playoffs to take place before finals and the holiday season, playoff matches will occur on different days of the week than the regular season. Teams that win their matches may also be required to play multiple times in a week as they progress through the playoffs. See the general playoff schedule for each round by referring to the Group A and B esport titles and referencing each round.
