Competing in the Game
General Rules:
All players are expected to adhere to the standards set in the PlayVS Code of Conduct.
2v2 Teams can play shorthanded (1v2) in a match if/when necessary.
In-Game Rules:
By default, Rocket League in-game features, such as application of overtime, demolitions, and vehicle customizations, are all managed in-game by Rocket League.
Event Format:
Qualifiers and Bracket Rounds : Best-of-5 (Bo5)
A team must win a qualifier match in order to advance to the Bracket rounds.
Finals: Best-of-7 (Bo7)
Pauses:
Games may not be paused. In between games, teams may take no more than 5 minutes to start the next round, or report the results for the match for the final game.
Disconnections:
If a disconnect occurs, the game will continue. The disconnected player(s) may rejoin during the game where the disconnect occurred or afterward.
Once the game is completed:
For 2v2, disconnected players will have five (5) minutes to rejoin the lobby or comment in the Match Lobby Chat before the next game of the match begins. Further delays risk match action by PlayVS Admin(s).
For 1v1, disconnected players will have five (5) minutes to rejoin the lobby or comment in Match Lobby Chat stating the reason for the disconnect, or risk match action by PlayVS Admin(s).
Post-Match Process
After both teams agree to the final game's result using the PlayVS Match Assistant (or five minutes after a single submission), the match will be complete, and results will be recorded.
Take in-game screenshots at the end of each game for your records.
If a team is not present for the match within the 15-minute grace period, the present team may submit a no-show forfeit as a result.
Matches without results will be quarantined and risk a match loss for both teams by default.
Please reach out to PlayVS Support if you have any questions.
