Overview

Celebrate Rocket League’s 10th birthday with Demo Days of Summer presented by Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI)! To kick off the birthday celebration, gamers can compete in a free 1v1 (July 7-9) and/or 2v2 tournament (July 11-13) to win incredible prizes like $100k in scholarships provided by RPI, Corsair SCUF controllers and more! Competition will be open to gamers ages 13-18.

Tournament Sign-up

To sign-up for the tournament:

  1. Create or log in to your free PlayVS Stadium account.

  2. Navigate to Competitions > Demo Days of Summer Tournament (1v1 or 2v2).

  3. Click Join this Event for any events you want to compete in.

  4. Click Create Team.

  5. Enter your Team Information, then click Save.

  6. Click Register Team.

  7. Fill out the pre-registration survey information.

  8. To finalize your registration, click Confirm.

Schedule and Prizing

  • Tournaments: Rocket League Tournaments

  • Dates:

    • 1v1 - July 7-9, 2025

    • 2v2 - July 11-13, 2025

  • Game: Rocket League

  • Console: PC, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PS4, PS5, or Nintendo Switch

  • Location: Virtual

  • Prizes: A total approximate retail value of $300,540, with scholarship prizing claimable if player(s) apply and are accepted to Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.

Prizing includes the following:

1v1 Tournament: July 7- 9th, 2025

1st Place:

  • $100,000 in scholarships to Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute; $25,000 per academic year

    • Must apply and be accepted to University to claim prize

  • One (1) SCUF ENVISION PRO Wireless Gaming Controller for PC – Steel Gray (Revival Series)

    • Approximate retail value (ARV): $90

  • RLCS Team Jersey

    • Approximate retail value (ARV): $90

2nd Place:

2v2 Tournament: July 11-13th, 2025

Rules and Expectations

Rules

  • No purchase or payment of any kind is necessary to enter or win.

  • All Rocket League Competitions will be Best-of-one (Bo1) and follow the Match Instructions for PlayVS matches.

  • Competition will occur virtually, with participants competing on PC, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PS4, PS5 or Nintendo Switch.

  • A maximum of 1 (one) entry for each tournament.

  • At time of entry, playing and awarding of prize, players must be: (i) at least thirteen (13) and no older than eighteen (18) years of age, and (ii) be actively enrolled and participating in either a United States or Canada (excluding Quebec) middle school or high school.

  • To be eligible for any prize, players must fully complete each round of participation. For example, if a player participates but does not fully complete a final round, the player will not be eligible for a prize for that round.

  • Single elimination rounds for each tournament.

  • Void where prohibited.


Code of Conduct and Expectations

PlayVS

PlayVS will:

  • Provide direct support to participants completing tasks such as enrollment and account creation.

  • Provide match-day support to all competing participants.

  • Schedule all competitions related to the Demo Days of Summer tournament.

  • Publish event standings and results.

Players

Players will:

  • Ensure they are equipped with the technology necessary to compete in the tournament matches.

  • Before, during, and after the Demo Days of Summer matches played on the PlayVS platform, uphold the PlayVS Stadium Code of Conduct.

PlayVS maintains the right to withhold prizing in the event of a participating team member's violation of the PlayVS Code of Conduct or any other terms of this tournament.

THE FOLLOWING TERMS AND CONDITIONS (“TERMS”) APPLY TO YOUR PARTICIPATION IN THE DEMO DAYS OF SUMMER (“TOURNAMENT”) PROVIDED BY PLAY VERSUS, INC.. AND ITS WEBSITES AND PLATFORMS (“PLAYVS”, “WE” “US” OR “OUR”), INCLUDING ANY CONTENT, FUNCTIONALITY, PRODUCTS, AND SERVICES OFFERED ON OR THROUGH SUCH WEBSITES (COLLECTIVELY, THE “WEBSITE”), WHETHER AS A GUEST OR A REGISTERED USER.

PLEASE READ THESE TERMS CAREFULLY BEFORE YOU START TO PARTICIPATE IN THE TOURNAMENTS. BY PARTICIPATING IN THE TOURNAMENTS, YOU ACCEPT AND AGREE TO BE BOUND AND ABIDE BY THESE TERMS OF SERVICE. IF YOU DO NOT WANT TO AGREE TO THESE TERMS OF SERVICE, YOU MUST NOT USE THE SERVICES. IN PARTICULAR, WE WANT TO HIGHLIGHT SOME IMPORTANT TERMS, POLICIES, AND PROCEDURES IN THESE TERMS. BY ACCEPTING THESE TERMS:

You are also agreeing to other PlayVS rules and policies that are expressly incorporated into and a part of these Terms. Please read them carefully: Our privacy policy explains what information we collect from you and how we protect it.

You and PlayVS agree to resolve disputes between us in individual arbitration (not in court). We believe the alternative dispute-resolution process of arbitration will resolve any dispute fairly and more quickly and efficiently than formal court litigation. We explain the process in detail below, but we’ve put this up front (and in caps) because it’s important:

THESE TERMS CONTAINS A BINDING, INDIVIDUAL ARBITRATION AND CLASS-ACTION WAIVER PROVISION. IF YOU ACCEPT THESE TERMS, YOU AND PLAYVS AGREE TO RESOLVE DISPUTES IN BINDING, INDIVIDUAL ARBITRATION AND GIVE UP THE RIGHT TO GO TO COURT INDIVIDUALLY OR AS PART OF A CLASS ACTION.

YOU MUST BE AN ADULT OF THE LEGAL AGE OF MAJORITY AND A UNITED STATES OR CANADIAN CITIZEN (EXCLUDING QUEBEC). YOU ARE LEGALLY AND FINANCIALLY RESPONSIBLE FOR ALL ACTIONS FOR PARTICIPATING IN THE TOURNAMENT, INCLUDING THE ACTIONS OF ANYONE YOU ALLOW TO ACCESS TO YOUR ACCOUNT. YOU AFFIRM THAT YOU HAVE REACHED THE LEGAL AGE OF MAJORITY, UNDERSTAND AND ACCEPT THESE TERMS (INCLUDING ITS DISPUTE RESOLUTION TERMS). IF YOU ARE UNDER THE LEGAL AGE OF MAJORITY, YOUR PARENT OR LEGAL GUARDIAN MUST CONSENT TO THESE TERMS.

Changes to the Terms of Service

We may update these Terms from time to time; you should check this page regularly to take notice of any changes. Your continued use of the Services following the posting of revised Terms means that you accept and agree to the changes.

Intellectual Property Rights

The Services, including all content, features, and functionality thereof, are owned by PlayVS, its licensors, or other providers of such material and are protected by United States and international copyright, trademark, patent, and other intellectual property or proprietary rights laws.

You are permitted to use the Services for your personal, non-commercial use only or legitimate business purposes related to your role as a current or prospective customer of PlayVS. Except as provided below, you must not copy, modify, create derivative works of, publicly display, publicly perform, republish, or transmit any of the material obtained through the Services, or delete, or alter any copyright, trademark, or other proprietary rights notices from copies of materials from the Services. However, if you are otherwise in compliance with these Terms, you are permitted to use, elsewhere and on other websites, an unaltered copy of portions of the content that is publicly available on the Website for the limited, non-commercial purpose of discussing such content.

Prohibited Uses

You may use the Services only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms.

PlayVS has the right but not the obligation to monitor and edit or remove any account. PlayVS also has the right to terminate your access to all or part of the services for any or no reason, including without limitation, any violation of these terms. PlayVS may exercise these rights at any time, without notice or liability to you or any third party.

Limitation of Liability

To the full extent permissible by law, PlayVS will not be liable for any loss of profits or any indirect, incidental, punitive, special or consequential damages arising out of or in connection with these Terms. These limitations and exclusions regarding damages apply even if any remedy fails to provide adequate compensation.

Governing Law and Jurisdiction

Any dispute or claim by you arising out of or related to these Terms shall be governed by California law, exclusive of its choice of law rules. For any disputes deemed not subject to binding individual arbitration, as provided in the section immediately below, you and PlayVS agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Superior Court of Los Angeles, California. You and PlayVS agree to waive any jurisdictional, venue, or inconvenient forum objections to such courts (without affecting either party’s rights to remove a case to federal court if permissible), as well as any right to a jury trial. This paragraph will be interpreted as broadly as applicable law.
