What is the Fighter Select?
What better way to celebrate the spirit of Street Fighter 6 than to kick start the competition with a competitive, prize - enabled league! Strategize and test your limits toward victory in this unique and competitive Fighter Select league.
If this catches your eye, coaches will have the opportunity to enroll one of their Street Fighter 6 teams when enrolling for the Fall '24 season.
Fighter Select will run parallel to the traditional PlayVS Scholastic schedule, and follow the same format as the Fall 2024 Street Fighter 6 regional leagues. Teams will enroll their strongest team to compete in weekly seasonal play culminating in a single-elimination playoff made up of the top teams. The championship matches will be broadcasted in a special Fighter Select event.

Match Times:
Eastern League > 4 PM ET
Pacific League > 4 PM PT
*Teams may be enrolled into either league regardless of geographic location. A school may only enroll into one (1) Fighter Select league.

Playoffs & Championships are expected to occur between the weeks of November 18, 2024 - December 9, 2024. Unique playoff start dates and rounds will be finalized and shared publicly by Monday, October 21, 2024.
Prizing
For participating teams, there will also be multiple opportunities throughout the season to win prizes and giveaways with additional prizing awarded to our finalists. To be eligible for raffle prizing, a Fighter Select team will need to participate in at least one (1) week of the preseason and at least five (5) weeks of the regular season. Prizing for finals placement is determinant on where a team lands in the standings

Requirements
Rules
All Fighter Select leagues will follow the existing Street Fighter 6 Rulebook for PlayVS matches.
Matches are expected to begin at the scheduled start time for their respective league.
Competition may occur in person or virtually from home at the discretion of each participating school.
No team shall be considered eligible to participate until all players are enrolled at the same school with a verified coach.
Players must be 13 years of age or older, reside in the U.S. or Canada, and be registered with an eligible team on PlayVS.
Code of Conduct & Expectations
PlayVS will:
Provide direct support to participants completing tasks such as enrollment and team creation.
Provide match-day support to all competing participants.
Schedule all competitions related to Fighter Select.
Publish event standings and results.
Coaches & Players will:
Ensure all participants are equipped with the technology necessary to compete in Street Fighter 6.
Uphold the PlayVS Code of Conduct before, during, and after PlayVS competitions.

Which league should I enroll in?
As only one team per school may be enrolled in Fighter Select, a school may enroll in the Fighter Select league that best fits their schedule.
What if I want to enroll multiple Street Fighter 6 teams this Fall?
Fighter Select is intended to facilitate a highly-competitive player experience. We invite programs with additional teams to enroll in any of our traditional Regional Leagues for Street Fighter 6.
Can these matches be rescheduled?
Yes, matches may be rescheduled at the discretion of competing teams in accordance to the High School Competition Rulebook.
