Join the Custom Game (Away Team)

  1. Open Fortnite.

  2. The Team Captain will accept the party invite to join the lobby.

  3. Invite the additional team member and click Ready.

Match Protocol (All Players)

If voice chat is enabled, both teams will have access to the party voice channel. To prevent this, leave the party voice channel or turn off voice chat by navigating to: Settings ➀ Communication ➀ Voice Chat ➀ Off.

  1. When both teams are ready, the home team captain will select Ready from the lobby.

  2. Once all players have loaded into the map, the host will hold the Start button to begin the match.

  3. The home team will walk into the Team 1 Zone.

  4. The away team will walk into the Team 2 Zone.

  5. After team selection, players will walk into the rift below the BoxFight Loot to vote for the loadout.

    • If a different loadout is selected, teams should Return to Lobby and recreate the game.

  6. A game of record will begin once the barrier between both teams disappear.

    • If a player disconnection occurs, refer to section 1.5 Stoppage of Play in the Fortnite: Zone Wars Rulebook.

    • Once game 1 is completed take screenshots of the results for your records.

  7. Both teams submit results using the Match Assistant.

    • If a substitution is needed, submit the roster change using the Match Assistant before the start of the next game.

  8. For game 2 and beyond, repeat the previous steps until the match is complete.

Post-Match Process

  • After both teams agree to the final game's result using the PlayVS Match Assistant, the match will be complete, and results will be recorded.

  • Take in-game screenshots at the end of each game for your records.

  • If the Match Assistant is skipped, coaches are responsible for verifying that results have been reported manually.

  • Matches without results will be quarantined and risk a match loss for both teams by default.

  • If the results are inaccurate, contact PlayVS Support for further assistance.

By default, rulebooks overrule match instructions. Please reach out to PlayVS Support if you find conflicting information.
